Action for the Climate
Educational stage: Students in the first and second years of Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO)
Three training sessions for teachers throughout the year.
Micro-networks are the set of thematic resources available in relation to a specific support service for schools in the More Sustainable Schools network. All schools registered with the network tend to have similar goals. This is why More Sustainable Schools provides them with this special support, resources relating to the topic in question, their own exchange forums and specialist guidance. Schools wishing to take part must register at the start of the school year.
The main goals are:
– To strengthen the methodological process of creating education for sustainability projects.
– To share best practices on a particular topic with other schools.
– To carry out initiatives in line with municipal plans and the Citizen Commitment to Sustainability in order to assess their aims and collect data.
As they are mainly aimed at teachers, sessions are recognised by the Department of Education as training.
In order to help with planning, information on the planned micro-networks is provided on the website and in the newsletter at the start of each school year.
At least 15 hours of training must be completed. To obtain their certificate, teachers must attend several training sessions that together add up to this number of hours. The sessions can relate to different training modules, micro-networks and/or guidance.
