Student exchange forums

These are network-based projects revolving around the exchange of experiences between students at different schools. Children and young people are at the centre of the project.

Teachers receive specific support and guidance from the More Sustainable Schools team, as well as more specialised experts and resources in some cases. These projects go one step further regarding student participation and empowerment to take action.

The main goals are:

To empower students in the school where the initiative is being carried out.
To enrich educational practices through the exchange of experiences between schools.
To reinforce the method for designing education for sustainability projects.
To get students enthusiastic about working on the skills covered in the curriculum .
To carry out initiatives linked to Barcelona’s Citizen Commitment to Sustainability.

Care for the Planet

Care for the Planet (TCP) supports secondary schools to help them incorporate student action and participation in projects relating to socio-environmental challenges. It seeks to dovetail with the skills covered in the school curriculum.
Young People Tackling the Climate Emergency

In this project, schools and vocational training providers are encouraged to carry out scientific research on young people’s habits and how they can affect climate change.
