International projection
Beyond the local sphere, the Barcelona Citizen Science Office collaborates with European initiatives in an effort to share criteria and create synergies on an international scale.
These are initiatives in which several countries are involved and which allow us to reflect on citizen science and share good practices and methodologies, seek solutions, define policies and enhance the value of this discipline.
CitiMeasure
European project that faces the challenge of establishing successful, stable and sustainable citizen science initiatives. These initiatives must also be relevant both for society and for research and the adoption of public policies. As a result of the analysis process, the project has published the handbook Behaviour Change and Policy.
The office has been part of two of the working groups, namely Behavioural Change and Policy, Strategy and Monitoring. In addition, it has worked together with the project in the coordination of a pilot test in Barcelona.
CitiObs
CitiObs is a European project that studies the practices of citizen observatories taking place in different countries. The aim of this study is to aggregate, standardise and validate data so that it can be easily accessed, referenced and reliably used.
The CitiObs tools and approaches are developed in co-creation with five pioneering cities, including Barcelona. The office is part of the local group. The results will be rolled out in 50 other cities in Europe.
ECSA
The office is a member of the European Citizen Science Association (ECSA).
