BCN Health Booster
BCN Health Booster is a three-year acceleration programme aimed at emerging companies in the life sciences sector. Participating companies must be startups and spinoffs less than five years old, based in Catalonia and requiring the use of a laboratory. The initiative is promoted by the Barcelona Science Park and Barcelona City Council, with the collaboration of Barcelona Activa and Biocat.
BCN Health Booster was created to promote innovation in health and the return to society of investment in research. In its framework, eleven innovative business projects, recently created, have access to a laboratory for three years within a strategic hub such as the Barcelona Science Park. They also receive training, mentoring and advice from Biocat in strategic areas such as team management, marketing and commercialisation, commercial law, financing and internationalisation.
The BCN Health Booster accelerator has an investment of one million euros for the three-year duration of the programme. The eleven companies selected correspond to the following five spinoffs and six startups: Adaptel, Artificial Nature, Bioliquid, DeepUII Diagnostics, GAT Biosciences, GAT Therapeutics, MiMark, Nuage Therapeutics, Ona Therapeutics, OneChain and Zymvol.
