In Barcelona and its metropolitan region, there are numerous facilities related to science and knowledge. Research centres and universities, which are internationally renowned, stand out as the main places where knowledge is generated, but there are many more places in the city where science is done and made available to the public: museums, libraries, parks, academies, observatories, municipal facilities, associations...
