Science in schools
Barcelona Science and Innovation organises its own programmes and supports those of other organisations that promote a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) approach both in and out of the classroom.
Increasingly, science is part of our lives. Understanding its processes and concepts gives us tools to make better decisions, solve problems and think critically. That is why, with the aim of awakening new scientific vocations among students of all ages, teaching from a STEAM approach, where scientific and technological knowledge is addressed in a cross-cutting and multidisciplinary way, is fundamental.
With this objective in mind, programmes such as Escolab, with which numerous leading laboratories open their doors to students, Citizen Science in Schools, to involve students in real research projects, or Little Scientific Talents, aimed at infant and primary school teachers, are promoted.
