Training to help commerces identify waste that can be stopped producing and at the same time show how to make a correct classification of the waste generated.

The goal of the training is to equip participants with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent waste generation in businesses. It will also review the criteria for proper waste sorting and present some of the initiatives led by the Barcelona Zero Plastic Commitment.

The following topics are addressed in the training:

• New aspects of waste legislation.
• Legal obligations of producers and holders of commercial waste.
• Inspection and monitoring of waste management.
• Municipal waste: management of the different types of waste.
• Barcelona Zero Plastic Commitment.
• Green points for each zone, and user cards.
• Calculation of the public charge for waste collection and available reductions.
