CoAct for Mental Health
CoActuamos por la Salud Mental's research focus is on social support networks in mental health.
Networks improve people's quality of life and well-being, curb social exclusion, and are a protective factor against relapses of people with mental health problems. In this project, people with mental health problems and family members are co-researchers, experts through their personal experience. A process of collective interpretation of the scientific data has been carried out and proposals for collective actions are being made on the basis of the scientific results, with the aim of promoting and improving social support networks in mental health.
The research puts people with mental health problems and their families at the centre, as co-researchers, experts through their personal experience. The co-researchers wrote 222 micro-stories, based on personal experiences related to social support networks.
Through the Telegram app CoActuamos por la Salud Mental, this research is open to anyone of legal age and from anywhere in the world (available in Catalan, Spanish, English, and German).
The project has received funding from the European Union's Horitzó 2020 Research and Innovation programme under contract No. 873048.
