Rethinking school environments
The project aims to understand, co-design and transform the environments of three Barcelona schools and their playgrounds in order to improve both the quality of the greenery and the quality of everyday life. Using environmental education and citizen science as a tool for social transformation and territorial protection, rePLANTegem aims to improve the urban fabric through transversal and participatory environmental education actions and activities, involving citizens. The study brings together professionals in conservation biology, fauna and flora, urban planning, public space, urban art, anthropology, participation, environmental education, teaching, research, childhood, communication and air quality.
