The Fifteen-Minute City: hyper proximity and post-pandemic MObility adaptations in the building of a more Resilient, sustainable, and Equitable transportation future for Barcelona
The Fifteen-Minute City: hyper proximity and post-pandemic MObility adaptations in the building of a more Resilient, sustainable, and Equitable transportation future for Barcelona aims to investigate how the dynamics of proximity and the 'fifteen-minute-city' (FMC) affect mobility habits during the pandemic in Barcelona. The proposal aims to address the challenge of avoiding inequality, poverty and social exclusion dynamics in transport. The study will collect cartographic information to obtain a model of the FMC, analyse mobility data using Big Data sources, Tracking Living Labs data, and perform statistical analysis. The proposal adopts an intersectional perspective and, based on its results, aims to provide policy recommendations on mobility.
