Science and Innovation

The project aims to (1) increase scientific knowledge on urban dynamics in terms of energy access and (2) make recommendations on public policies to address the social problems derived from access and domestic use of energy in a context of environmental emergency and social crisis. The study focuses on the relationship between energy deprivation and energy transition on the one hand, and urban segregation on the other. The geographical and urban analysis will be located in the territory of Barcelona and the AMB and will assess the situation over the last ten years.
