The project An automatic data discovery approach to enhance Barcelona's data ecosystem aims to obtain cross-databases on independent thematic areas of Barcelona that provide a cross-sectoral and cross-cutting view of the data ecosystem. This objective is to be achieved by (1) creating a shared and accessible data hub, under the control of the City Council, and (2) implementing a semi-automatic data discovery system that avoids the manual process of identifying relevant databases, for which the artificial intelligence technique Graph Neutral Networks will be used. The project is formulated from the intention of facing the challenge of democratizing access to data, which can then be analysed and contribute to the development of public policies.
