Barcelona Science and Universities has opened a new LinkedIn profile, the professional social network specific to the science, research and dissemination sector. The new channel aims to create a permanent space for dialogue with the sector on scientific dissemination, as well as to build bridges of collaboration between the scientific field and the economic and business fabric of the city.
The creation of an identity for Science and Universities on social networks is one of the communication objectives of this department, to communicate that Barcelona is a leading city in scientific research, which promotes scientific knowledge and the transfer of knowledge to the public.
This priority is also part of the Barcelona Science and Universities strategy, which invites everyone (citizens, academia, research centres and the business community) to contribute to and participate in the approach, processes and results of scientific and academic research under criteria such as ethics, transparency, equality and open access to knowledge.
