Religious beliefs are one of the reasons for discrimination in Barcelona, as highlighted in the various reports issued by the Barcelona Discrimination Observatory. Most cases involve situations of Islamophobia or anti-Muslim racism, antisemitism and, to a lesser extent, Christianophobia. Meanwhile, many religious communities are committed to the fight against racism and discrimination. Social and educational action is an essential part of the life of religious communities, and in many cases this translates into initiatives for inclusion and the fight against racism and discrimination.

The event will consist of two panel discussions in which various religious communities from the city will present proposals for combating racism. There will also be a discussion on racism from the perspective of different traditions.
