The proposed activity is designed to gather public opinion directly from the streets of Barcelona on a highly topical issue today: Islamophobia.

The proposal is based on three lines of action:

  1. Debate. By setting up a table and chairs on the street, passersby will be encouraged and invited to engage in a conversation about Islamophobia. If a significant level of interaction is observed, discussion topics will be proposed (addressing social, cultural and historical perspectives) by a moderator from the group. Fragments will be recorded to document the event.
  2. Opinion. A space will be created for posting and sharing opinions about Islamophobia, Islam, racism and discrimination using sticky notes. These opinions will also be documented for the record.
  3. Survey. Entre Joves is working on a survey project to gather public opinion on various topics, including the integration of the Muslim community into Catalan society, feelings of inclusion and experiences of prejudices. During this event, a pilot survey will be launched to assess and analyse the effectiveness of the questions and responses, as well as to determine the most effective methodology to employ.
