BCN Ciutat Diversa Meeting
The BCN Ciutat Diversa Meeting is a participatory and advocacy festival organised annually by the Municipal Immigration Council. Its aim is to help build a plural and cohesive city by recognising diversity, fostering coexistence and encouraging interaction between organisations and citizens, in order to break stereotypes and promote equality of rights and opportunities.
It has been held for several years, with significant participation from organisations and citizens. It has evolved and grown over time, establishing itself as a key event in the city’s autumn calendar. It aims to highlight the diversity and interculturality of the community, emphasising how immigration and its associated organisations enrich society. At the same time, it seeks to raise awareness and explore the specific theme selected each year by the CMIB.
This year will focus on activities centred around anti-racism, which will also be one of the topics featured in the radio programmes broadcast throughout the day.
