The 8th International Live Arts Festival AM24, in collaboration with Mercat de les Flors, presents an exclusive masterclass with Nadia Beugré, an artist whose work  L’homme rare will be showing at the Mercat de les Flors on 14 and 15 December. In March 2024, the creator from the Ivory Coast took part in a training course as part of the professional training programme “Creation | Reflection | Body” organised by Africa Moment at Graner dance and performing arts creation centre. The transgressive creator Nadia Beugré coined the term “shriftt” to define the daily practice of creating our own survival every day. This class offers performing arts professionals an exclusive training session in which they can discover their own ‘shriftt’, a stimulating context for listening and encountering others, the music of bodies, space and what we do not yet know. Nadia Beugré tackles issues related to the body, gender, global injustices, the environment or the rights of oppressed communities with a transgressive choreographic repertoire that is acclaimed worldwide. “It’s harrowing, both in action and sound; Ms. Beugré knows how to make a crowd trust her just as, in a split second, she knows how to knock the air out of people.
