This route seeks to discover the bryophytes and lichens that colonise the city's petrified materials.

Lichens and other bioderms inevitably colonise building materials. They have traditionally been considered something to be avoided, associated with the concept of biodeterioration. In this activity we will get to know the most important species up close. We will also discuss the idea of bioprotection and assess the beneficial effects that these organisms have on urban environments.
