Disruptions to mobility for the women’s Volta Ciclista a Catalunya 2024

Traffic will be unable to circulate in any of the roads making up the route the final stage of the first edition of this sports event on Sunday, 9 June, meaning disruptions to traffic in the district of Sants-Montjuïc. Various bus services will be affected.

The stage ends in the city and takes the following route: Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, entering the municipality of Hospitalet de Llobregat and crossing Plaça Idelfons Cerdà; Plaça Espanya, ending up in Av. Reina Maria Cristina. The first traffic restrictions start at 8 am on Sunday, in Av. Reina Maria Cristina, from Plaça Espanya to Av. Rius i Taulet, for assembly work. As from 11 am, the restrictions will also apply in Av. Rius i Taulet, between C/ Guàrdia Urbana and C/ Mèxic. Normal circulation will be restored in these two sections from 5 pm. The route will be completely closed to traffic from 1 pm to 3 pm. Traffic restrictions, as well as entrances to car parks, will be reestablished from when the last cyclist goes past.

As for parking restrictions, these will apply from 2 pm on Saturday in Av. Rius i Taulet, from C/ Guàrdia Urbana to Av. Reina Maria Cristina. As from 6 am on Sunday, parking restrictions will apply in Av. Reina Maria Cristina, from Plaça Espanya to Av. Rius i Taulet. The restrictions end at 6 pm on Sunday.

Disruptions to public transport

Various bus lines will be diverted or limited during the event. Owing to the restrictions, people are advised to use public transport to get around, particularly the metro. If you wish to plan your travel, you can use Getting there.
