H is a waltz for two featuring a character and his essential tool: the balance pole, which gives him life. This dance of forces reveals the needs and weaknesses of its protagonists, while showing the yearnings and internal struggles that define their lives.
The oar, the lance, a struggle and the inevitable fractures illustrate this symbolic relationship between the artist and his instrument. At times it is a heavy burden; at others it is an extra weight in a mother’s unconditional arms. Two high voices, using no words, express this universe of balances and tensions.
