A textile factory with hundreds of jeans, a sewing machine, a ladder, cotton reels, a rope and five women. This is Nüshu, a show that speaks through the body, silence and chaos.
Nüshu isn’t just circus and theatre. It is a dialogue between generations, a profound connection between mothers, grandmothers, daughters and workmates, and also a reflection on working women. With sewing as the protagonist, it develops a process of construction and deconstruction of female relationships based on solidarity and complicity.
The Companyia Capicua, founded in 2009, and the acrobats that make up the show introduces us to a game of symbols that weave some sensitive and transformative stories.
