'Camins altres' and 'Som llavor': short films that describe realities and advocate for rights
Registration: ipr@bcn.cat.
At this event, two short films featuring young people from diverse backgrounds will be screened. These videos are very different, with distinct approaches, yet they share points in common that will be discussed in a debate following the screening. This will involve a conversation between the various voices heard in the films.
These short films describe the lived experiences of the young protagonists, imagine a different future and advocate for rights.
Description of the activity:
• Viewing the short films with a brief introduction to each, explaining the themes explored in the filmmaking process, their goals, and whether these were achieved. There will be a short question and answer session after each film.
• A roundtable discussion with the various protagonists of the films, covering the audiovisual creation process, what it is like to live in the city as a non-white person who faces racism, the foreigner law, and more, as well as their vision of the future.
• The event will close with a musical performance featuring DJ Soumeya Lerari.
