Carla Nowak, an idealistic teacher, starts her first job at a secondary school. When a series of thefts occur at the school and one of the students becomes a suspect, she decides to investigate the matter on her own. Carla tries to mediate between angry parents, stubborn colleagues and aggressive students, but she faces the unbending structures of the school system.
