Batlleiroig-UPC Chair at the ETSAV, with Enric Batlle, Joan Roig, Joan Batlle and the 2023 winners.
During the event, Enric Batlle, director of the Batlleroig Chair, will introduce the origin and raison d'être of the motto "merging city & nature". Joan Roig and Joan Batlle will talk about the renovation of Casa Moratiel, the joint headquarters of the Batlleroig Chair. The works that have won the 2023 UPC Batlleiroig Chair Award will be presented: "67 steps and an island courtyard", by Adriana Núñez and Nami Gradolí; "Symbiosis. Cultural renovation and the hydraulic transformation of the Agell watermill", by Alex Pla and Guillem Quer; "The post-industrial promenade: a device for urban and local regeneration", by Jaume Gil, and "Hygrothermal behaviour of pavements in urban spaces. A comparative study of usual types of construction", by Queralt Perera.
