Loredana Volpe
Loredana Volpe, born in Caracas in 1990, is an author, translator and director of La Salamandra theatre company, with which she’s directed the fantastic horror show L’habitació tancada [The Locked Room] at the Sala Versus Glòries; Ànsia (the Catalan translation of Crave), at Sala Atrium; El Nino [The Doll], at the Brossa Foundation (winner of the 6th Born Award); Sartre’s No Exit at the Teatre Akadèmia and in Caracas; Sanchis Sinisterra’s Flechas del ángel del olvido [Arrows of the Angel of Forgetting], at the Auditori de Cornellà, and Marc Garcia Coté’s Nido [Nest] in Madrid, among other works. She holds a master’s degree in theatre studies from the Institut del Teatre and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), and is the author of the books A pesar de tu santa cólera [Despite Your Holy Rage] and Ejercicio de aniquilación [Exercise of Annihilation], as well as the recent La habitación cerrada [The Locked Room] and Isekai: historia de un secuestro [Isekai: Story of a Kidnapping] (Ediciones Mutis).
