Emilio Bueso
Emilio Bueso, born in Castelló in 1974, studied engineering and is one of the leading re-inventors of the horror genre in Spanish, even though he has shifted from raw realism to fantasy. His most popular novels include Noche cerrada [Closed Night], Diástole, Cenital [The Zenith], Extraños eones [Strange Aeons] and the trilogy Los ojos bizcos del sol [A Cross-Eyed Sun], and he has also published the short story collection Ahora intenta dormir [Sleep If You Can]. His latest work is a horror novel about a woman living next to a swamp, Naturaleza muerta [Dead Nature], published this year by Ediciones B.
