Emanuele Arioli
Emanuele Arioli, born in Italy in 1988, is a medievalist, archivist palaeographer and lecturer at the University of Hauts-de-France. His rediscovery of Segurant, the Knight of the Dragon (published in Spanish by Editorial Folioscopio), was the focus of this thesis at the École des Chartes (which won the Auguste Moliner Award and Madeleine Lenoir Award) and his doctoral dissertation at the Sorbonne, under the supervision of Michel Zink and Sylvie Lefèvre (which won the University Award and the Chancellery’s Louis Forest Award). Arioli is also an actor who has appeared in Bruno Dumont’s film France (Cannes Festival 2021) and in several series.
