MALALLETRA 42 EDITION
After the first closing ceremony devoted to poetry and a second edition that showcased theatre, this year Festival 42 is focusing on music to close its doors and say goodbye until 2024. It will do this with the band Malalletra, which was officially presented to society last St George's day and was created by 14 writers with differing profiles (many working in genre literature) transformed into guitarists, bassists, keyboard players, clarinet players and drummers, as well as singers in the purest literary rock-star style. They are Salvador Macip, Francesc Bombí-Vilaseca, Jordi Boixadós, Lluís Llort, Jordi Campoy, Sergi Corbella, Maria Escalas, Ferran Grau, Marta Carnicero, Sílvia , Elisenda Roca, Esteve Plantada and Ada Castells. The band, which regularly regales literary gatherings with their covers of pop-rock tunes, will delight the audience with a special surprise concert featuring songs related to fantasy and science fiction. If you'd like a taster, right now we can only tell you that the concert will include the soundtrack of the Festival 42 awards: David Bowie’s Starman.
