Salvador Macip
Salvador Macip (Blanes, 1970) is a physician and scientist specialising in molecular and cell biology who is also a writer. He has had some 40 books published, including children's works, essays and novels. He has authored fantasy-genre novels such as Ullals (with Sebastià Roig, which won the Joaquim Ruyra award), El joc de Déu (Ictineu award), Hipnofòbia (Carlemany award) and Herba negra (with Ricard Ruiz Garzón, which earned the Ramon Muntaner award). He has also written two anthologies of fantasy stories and contributed to anthologies such as Barcelona 2059. Ciutat de posthumans, which earned him the Ictineu award for his short-story 'Revolucionaris'. He recently published the novel Doble mortal together with Àngels Bassas and contributed to the science-fiction noir anthology Vapor negre. Barcelona steampunk 1911 (Clandestina).
