Speaking out against the rise of hate ideology and discrimination is the main goal of this awareness-raising campaign, launched by a network (ReFAL) that brings together more than 170 civil society organisations from all over Spain. The initiative promotes intercultural dialogue as a key tool for social cohesion, equality and co-existence. The aim of this mobilisation and call to action is to put the fight against racism on international agendas, encouraging public policymakers to make concrete commitments. Following its launch at a national level, the campaign will be presented to civil society organisations from the 42 Anna Lindh Foundation (ALF) member countries. The aim is to achieve a multiplier effect that will increase the impact of the campaign throughout the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Goals of the initiative:

1.         Inspire and empower civil society: motivate individuals and organisations so they can consider themselves active participants in social change, fostering a sense of belonging and collective responsibility.

2.         Promote action to tackle current challenges: encourage participants to act immediately when faced with problems such as hate speech, new vulnerabilities and a lack of community cohesion.

3.         Reinforce collective action: promote cooperation and solidarity among ReFAL members and partners and the general public, emphasising the power of joint action.

4.         Empower young people: greater involvement of young people in processes of social change, strengthening their participation and leadership in community initiatives.

5.         Create a transformative narrative: develop alternative and positive narratives to counteract polarisation, promoting a tangible commitment to social change.
