What the museum conceals. Discovering the collections
Most of the museum's collections are in storage and hidden from the view of visitors. The showcase in the Parc Montjuïc Venue's foyer is a window to the museum's reserve collection, where many objects await public exhibition.
The rape of Sita
2021
The Ramayana, a sacred Hindu text, tells of the demon Ravana’s rape of Sita, the wife of the god Rama. In the Balinese version of this epic, Ravana mounted a hybrid creature, possessing feline, bird and human features, called Wilmana.

A large number of servants, pages and camels accompany the Three Kings of the Orient in rich caravans in the nativity scenes created by the sculptor Domènec Talarn i Ribot (1812-1902), one of the great Catalan nativity-scene builders of the 19th century.
