Egosex bring Jungle Trance Blues to La Mercè, a genre fusing elements of traditional blues with hypnotic trance rhythms and experimental soundscapes, adding electronic African percussion effects.

Characterised by their improvised and eclectic nature, varied instrumentals, gospel-style backing vocals and emphasis on aesthetics, Egosex’s live shows offer a unique musical experience, exploring African spirituality with contemporary tools.

Following a break of nearly four years, Wekaforé, the frontman for the project and figure behind Voodoo Club, adds to his live shows the talents of sax player Joseph Epere and the drums of Will Ross, injecting a new energy they’ve already shown this year at the Primavera Sound and the Cruïlla, and is preparing a new EP we might be lucky enough to get a taste of this September!
