The Cuban singer, pianist, composer, producer and actress (living in the United States), Aymée Nuviola is coming to La Mercè with a quintet, accompanied by Kemuel Roig (Cuba) on piano, Samuel Burgos on bass, Yandy Diaz Palacio on drums, José ‘Majito’ Aguilera (Venezuela) on percussion and Julián Ávila (Argentina) on guitar.

The concert will revisit the rhythms of Latin jazz and Cuban filin, bolero, son and timba to the audience to dance to the songs on the record Havana Nocturne, a journey back to 1950s Havana evenings.

Known as ‘La Sonera del Mundo’ and the winner of three Grammy awards, Aymée Nuviola has led the timba genre and worked with icons of music, making a name for herself beyond the comparisons with Celia Cruz, and thanks, too, to her collaborations with great artists like Chucho Valdés, Los Muñequitos de Matanzas and Melendi.
