César Mallorquí

César Mallorquí, born in Barcelona in 1953, started writing at an early age, combining it with his work in journalism and advertising. He’s won several awards in the fantastic genres and in children’s and YA literature, including the National Award for La illa de Bowen [Bowen’s Island] (Edebé), the Edebé Award on four occasions, the Ignotus Award, the Gran Angular Award, the Hache Award and the Cervantes Chico Career Award. In addition to long-sellers such as Les llàgrimes de Shiva [Shiva’s Tears] (Edebé) and El círculo de Jericó [The Jericho Circle] (Alamut), his recent works include YA novel El fin de los tiempos [The End of Days] (SM) and the children’s series Col·legi de poders secrets [Secret Power School] (Alfaguara).
