Astrid Lozano Villó
Astrid Lozano Villó, born in Barcelona in 1974, has been an English teacher for nearly 20 years. She holds an undergraduate degree in English philology from the University of Barcelona (1997) and a master’s degree in English literature from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1999). She is currently enrolled in a PhD programme in English studies at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, focusing on the life and work of American author Shirley Jackson, whom she will discuss at the 42 Festival. Lozano Villó is also a photographer and holds a diploma in photography studies from the Catalan Institute of Photography Studies (IEFC).
