WOMEN IN THE FANTASTICAL GENRES: MEETING WITH MARIANA ENRÍQUEZ
Though often associated with a rather masculinised world, genre literature has admittedly also been written in a woman's voice. Pioneers like Ursula K. Le Guin and Octavia Butler paved the way for a generation of women science fiction and fantasy writers who continue to imagine futures and reflect our present through their sharp and lively pens today. Are you ready to discover them?
Biblioteques de Barcelona has launched a special book club as part of Festival 42, called ‘Women in the Fantastical Genres’ at the Francesca Bonnemaison and Poble-sec libraries. The November session will take place at the Fabra i Coats facilities, as part of the festival, and will offer a special session with Mariana Enríquez, with whom the books Nuestra parte de noche and Las cosas que perdimos en el fuego will be discussed.
*Activity organised in conjunction with Biblioteques de Barcelona. Pre-registration at: "FANTASY-GENRE WOMEN 1", "FANTASY-GENRE WOMEN 2"
