Mariana Enríquez
Mariana Enríquez (Buenos Aires, 1973) is a writer and journalist who works for Radar, the Página/12 newspaper‘s art and culture supplement, although she is better known as one of the outstanding voices of Argentinian horror. She began her career at a very young age, with the novel Bajar es lo peor (1995). Her works have now been translated into over 24 languages and have appeared in publications such as The New Yorker and Granta. Her book of short stories Las cosas que perdimos en el fuego [Things We Lost in the Fire](2016), won the City of Barcelona Prize, marking a new period of success for the author with readers and critics from all over the world. Her latest novel, the terrifying Nuestra parte de noche [Our Share of Night](2019), has won over not only the public but also critics, receiving various awards, including the Premio Herralde, the Celsius, the Kelvin 505 and the Critics Prize.
