Maite Carranza
Maite Carranza (Barcelona, 1958) is a writer, scriptwriter and teacher. Her extensive career as an author has included works for both YA and adult readers and earned her over 20 awards, including the YA Critics' award, the National YA Literature award and the Cervantes Chico award. She has written television scripts and taught scriptwriting in university master's degrees in Audiovisual Scriptwriting. She founded the GAC (Associated Scriptwriters of Catalonia) and is the founder and Chair of the Escrivim Professional Writers' Association. She became a worldwide phenomenon with her Guerra de las brujas trilogy, which has been translated into 30 languages and just had its prequel published, La loba gris.
