Jay Kristoff
Jay Kristoff (Perth, 1973) is a best-selling Australian writer who focuses on young-adult fantasy stories. He is especially well-known for the sagas The Lotus War (Las guerras del loto), The Illuminae Files and The Nevernight Chronicle (Crónicas de la Nuncanoche). He has often appeared on the Amazon and Kirkus lists for the best young-adult novels. His stories are usually set in genres such as epic fantasy or steampunk, and they have won a variety of prizes, including the Aurealis and the ABIA, as well as being nominated for awards such as the David Gemmell Morningstar and the Legend. In his novels, Kristoff reflects on issues such as family, friendship, love, loss and betrayal, usually including the leitmotif that victory always comes hand in hand with sacrifice.
Now, Kristoff ventures into science fiction with the juvenile LIFEL1K3: Más humano que los humanos (Umbriel).
