CYBERFEMINISM: ART, SCIENCE, GENDER AND TECHNOLOGY
In a world undergoing constant transformation, movements such as feminism and the lesser-known cyberfeminism evolve and adapt to social changes, in order to reflect women’s needs in regard to socialand technological advances in the internet era. In this context, what changes must be faced in coming years? And in coming decades? Is this movement one of the keys for progressing towards a utopian, fair society? The professors and gender-policy researchers Remedios Zafra and Teresa López-Pellisa, two of our country's leading experts in cyberfeminism, offer a dialogue concerning future narratives in which art, science, technology and feminism intersect. Words like cyberfeminism, future, art, technology, policy, identity, subjectivity, post-human, utopia, dystopia, digital culture, technofeminism, xenofeminism and cyberspace will be vital in this binary debate featuring two essential voices that are both poignant and informative: those of the authors of the essay Ciberfeminismo: de VNS Matrix a Laboria Cuboniks (Holobionte).
