DAY OF THE RACE: 29 September 2024.

START: 9:00 am at the intersection of Calles Sepúlveda and Comte Borrell.

DISTANCE: 2 km.

ROUTE: Sepúlveda/Comte Borrell – Viladomat – Av. del Paral·lel – Pl. d’Espanya – Av. de la Reina M. Cristina.

2K Race Rules

1. The inclusive 2K Mercè Bimbo Global Race will be held on 29 September. It is integrated into the last two kilometres of the open 10K Mercè Race. It is free and the starting point will be at Carrer Sepúlveda and Compte Borrell.

2. Participants should meet at 9.00 a.m.

3. The race is anyone over the age of 14 with an intellectual disability or with reduced mobility who, due to their physical condition, cannot run a distance of 10 km. Participants must present a disability card.

4. Participants must be accompanied by a coach or legal guardian, who must be properly registered for the race, but without a chip.

5. The use of a chip is mandatory for the participant, but not for the companion, as it would cause confusion in the classification.

6. The start time will be decided shortly before it happens, based on the flow of runners in the Open race. The technical manager of the race and the judge from the Federació Catalana d’Atletisme will make this decision.

7. To register, you must send an email to merce@lasansi.com to complete the online registration on the website by September 23. Registration is mandatory for both the runner and the companion (the athlete's companions should not wear the chip to avoid confusion in the rankings).

8. The first three male and female finishers will be awarded a trophy and all participants will receive a finisher’s medal.

9. At the finish line, a meeting point will be marked with banners from the Esport Inclus programme that will be easy for the participants to identify. There, they can enjoy sustainable refreshments while they wait for the prizes to be awarded.

10. Staff will be on hand at the finish line to accompany the runners to the meeting point.
