The Family Race will be held for the first time as part of the Mercè Bimbo Global Race.
This race is designed for families, in all shapes and sizes, who cannot run the full race due to their physical condition and/or age, or simply do not want to run the main 10K race.
Spots are limited.
It is not competitive. Rather, it is a celebration, where you can enjoy a small, centric circuit as a family.
The Family Race will be held on 29 September and forms part of the races that make up the Mercè Bimbo Global Race.
The starting point will be at Av. de la Reina Maria Cristina.
The start time will be at approximately 8:45 a.m. It will not be competitive and no prizes will be awarded.
It is open anyone who wants to participate as a family. Participating teams must be made up of at least two people with some family or emotional connection. The registration form will include these aspects.
The maximum participation will be 1,000 registrants. Registration will close when this number is reached.
The distance will be one mile (1,609 meters).
Registration costs €3 as a donation (more information in the Mercè Charity section). The use of a chip is not necessary, as official times will not be recorded. Registration will only be valid once payment has been made.
Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied.
To register, sign up via the Registration section up to five days before the race, at the latest, if spots are still available.
Upon arrival, all participants will receive a finisher's medal and refreshments, as well as a participation certificate.
The bib, along with the chip and shirt, must be collected on the days and times established by race organisers. When registering, you must indicate the day and time slot to pick them up. The size of the shirt must be chosen; sizes that are sold out will be excluded from selection. Changes cannot be made (see the Registration section).
If a runner does not collect the bib and bag on the established days, they will forfeit them and must participate without a bib (see the Bib Collection section).
It is compulsory to wear the race bib in order to run the race. It must be placed on the front of the shirt so that it is visible. The bib is personal and non-transferable.
For safety reasons, we recommend filling in the lines for personal data on the back of the bib. The telephone provided must be for a third-party and not the participant.
Participants will assume any damages that may be caused to themselves or to third parties. Race organisers decline any liability in this regard.
