On 18 September, Barcelona’s biggest sports celebration is back with La Mercè Race. This year, the emblematic race, a symbol of the city, will have a nursery service that will ensure that everyone, whether they have children in their care or not, can celebrate the sportier side of La Mercè.
The service is targeted at children between the ages of 3 and 11 and will be located in a special area near the starting arch, where the kids will be able to have fun while waiting for the adults to finish the race. It will start one hour before the start of the race and end at 11:00 am.
To use the service, you have to register in advance by emailing genereiesport@bcn.cat before 13 September.
The race will start at 8:30 am on Avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina and will explore the centre of Barcelona along the usual 10-kilometre route.
The 2022 La Mercè Inclusive Race , will be held along with the Open race, a 2-km race adapted to anyone older than 14 with intellectual disabilities or reduced mobility whose physical condition prevents them from running a distance of 10km.
