Do you know who made the best mark in the history of la Cursa de la Mercè?

This year, la Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race Race will be held on September 17th with the participation of 10.000 runners.

Is already September and the streets of Barcelona are ready for les Festes de la Mercè. Another year, through the sport, the city will celebrate its most prominent holiday with La Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race on September 17th!

Since 1979, when the first edition was held, thousands of athletes have participated in La Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race, achieving spectacular marks.

The best mark in the history of the la Cursa de la Mercè in a 10km route was achieved by Mourad El Bannouri in 2017, making a record time of 29'24". The women's record was also achieved in the same year by Lidia Rodríguez's 34'12" mark.

Another notable mark going over the 10 km race are Mustafa Younes, who made the entire race with a mark of 29'35" in 2006, and the mark of 34'15" by Isabel Eizmendi in 2004.

This year, more than 10-000 runners will be able to take part of La Cursa de la Mercè Bimbo Global Race in different modalities to try to break all the records!
