Book club with Pastora Filigrana based on her book El pueblo gitano contra el sistema-mundo: reflexiones desde una militancia feminista y anticapitalista (The Roma people against the system/world: reflections from feminist and anti-capitalist activism) published by Akal (2020). The book discusses social unionism, ecofeminism, grassroots mutualism, self-management of conflict, and ways of escaping the labour-for-income trap.

The author herself will be present, and will engage in a conversation with specialists from the Nou Barris district.

Pastora Filigrana is a lawyer specialising in employment and union law and an expert in immigration law. She holds a master’s degree in human rights, interculturality, and development. An advocate of cooperativism. Human rights activist. Member of the Andalusian Workers’ Union (SAT). Feminist and a mixed-race Roma woman.
