The summer holiday campaign is a municipal scheme that provides over a thousand engaging and educational activities each year so that Barcelona children and teenagers between the ages of 1 and 17 can enjoy the holiday period. Nearly 350,000 places to choose from, in a variety of settings and for all ages.
Barcelona City Council is coordinating the campaign and publicising the initiatives of organisations that work in the city’s educational leisure sector, both recreational as well as sports or sociocultural ones. The organising entities are responsible for carrying out the activities on offer.
An approval process ensures that there is a wide range of activities open to all children that provide value for money.
In addition, the holiday campaign provides all the city’s children and teenagers with access to its activities thanks to the City Council’s financial support for families and children who, for financial or personal reasons, require special assistance to access the activities.
The various educational leisure, sports and sociocultural activities help to transmit the values of living together and companionship, as well as respect for the environment, while enjoying holiday time in a safe and fun way. At the same time, they help families achieve a work-life balance.
The purpose of this website is to provide families with some initial guidance on the summer activities and the chance to choose the option best suited to their needs. Each organisation will deal with requests at the place or via the phone number indicated.
