Casa Bloc, designed by Sert, Torres Clavé and Subirana, was the first social housing building built in Spain in the 1930s. After the Civil War it became a residence for the widows and orphans of the Guardia Civil until 2015. Currently, Habitat3, a foundation that manages social housing is rehabilitating it to accommodate people at risk of social exclusion.
