On the days the two lines are out of service, the rest of the metro network offers the most efficient mobility option. On line 2, users can connect with the L4 at the station of La Pau and when reaching the Besòs station, use the TRAM to get to Sant Roc and Gorg. At Gorg there’s also the possibility of getting the L10 Nord, while the regular H10 bus also connects this area with the station of La Pau.

On line 1, the station of La Sagrera connects with the L5, the L9 Nord and the L10 Nord, while the station of Clot connects with the L2. Around the station in Clot there’s also the possibility of using the conventional bus services of H10, V25, 33, 34, 62 and 192, while in La Sagrera the bus services of H8, V27, 62, 96, 126 and 191 also circulate.

Shuttle service

As a complementary measure, TMB will be offering a shuttle bus between the two sections affected. This special service will operate during the same times as the metro and cover the section between Badalona /Pompeu Fabra and La Pau, stopping at the stations in between and giving priority to people with reduced mobility. The last buses will leave Badalona / Pompeu Fabra at 11.59 pm on working days, Sundays and public holidays, and 1.30 am on Friday nights and the eve of public holidays.

As for the L1, a special bus service will also be available covering the affected section, with the same stops as the metro. To ensure the connection between the bus and the metro, the last bus to leave Glòries on Sunday will be at 0.33 am, and the last one to leave La Sagrera will be at 0.18 am.

Improvement to the L2 service and accessibility on the L1

Work to be carried out on the L2 from Saturday, 12 April, until Easter Monday, on 21 April, in the section between La Pau and Badalona / Pompeu Fabra, is part of the work needed at platforms in the stations of Artigues and Pep Ventura. Representing an investment of 1.7 million euros, once the work is completed there should be fewer incidents on the L2 and an improvement in service.

On the L1, the section between La Sagrera and Glòries will be out of service over the weekend of 12 and 13 April for the installation of lifts connecting platforms and foyers. The work is part of the project to improve accessibility at Clot station, adapting this interchange for people with reduced mobility.

Once the work is completed, the interchange will have access for people with reduced mobility from the street, the foyer and the L1 platforms, as well as the connections with other lines. The work entails an investment of 7.1 million euros, partly funded with EU Next Generation funds from the EU Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.

Information campaign

On the L2, TMB has already set up signage and information staff will be on hand from 5 to 16 April at the affected stations and other points on the route with high volumes of passengers. On the L1, information staff will be present at the affected stations from 5 to 13 April, with extra staff at the station of Fabra i Puig.

Information can also be found on the TMB website, using sections such as the the Vull Anar tool, which enables users to plan the best alternatives for their usual part of their journey affected by these suspensions in service.
