Doctor in Veterinary Medicine
Research Professor at INGENIO (CSIC-UPV) [Spanish National Research Council-Polytechnic University of Valencia], Doctor in Veterinary Medicine (University of Córdoba) and Doctor in Sociology (Autonomous University of Barcelona).
She has undertaken her pre- and post-doctoral work at the Rowett Research Institute in the United Kingdom, the Alterra Research Institute at Wageningen University in the Netherlands, the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and the Centre for Agro-Food Research Economics and Development. She is director of the Chair on Agroecology and Food Systems at the University of Vic-Central University of Catalonia (2014-2021).
She has participated as lead author in two UN groups: the International Assessment of Agricultural Knowledge, Science and Technology for Development (IAASTD, 2005-2008) and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC: 2010-2014, 2016-2019, 2019-2022). She is a member of the scientific advisory board of the Agriculture, Food Security and Climate Change (FACCE-JPI) initiative of the European Union.
