Selena Soro
Selena Soro, born in Barcelona in 1991, lived in a remote mountainous area with no television until the age of 15, with two mothers and a sister. While living in the small town of Sort, a teacher assigned her to write a short story which, years later, became the fantasy novel Misteris de la boira [Mysteries of Fog] and won the Carlemany Award. As a journalist, she wrote for Ara for six years, but in 2018, she left the newspaper to focus on fiction, and her dedication has paid off. This year, she published L’últim corb [The Last Raven] (Columna), the second part of the Boira duology about a world where love is forbidden.
